This country has a rather varied landscape and is full of wildlife, which makes it a great place to grow coffee. But there is one particular region that meets every single requirement for growing great coffee: high altitude, temperate and steady climate and rich soil - this is in the Southern Highlands, in the Mbeya Region.
The climate here, which sees a mere 18F degree variation all year round, is the secret behind the well developed flavor that can be appreciated in this type of coffee. The whole harvest takes longer on average than in other climates, but this gives the beans time to soak in all the special flavors of this country’s beans.
Our blend features a medium-light roast, which is the proper roast to enjoy the subtle and sweet flavor notes that can be found in this coffee. You’ll find hints of pear, strawberry, and jasmine, along with a general floral flavor and aroma.
